The Project seeks to achieve four objectives:

  1. Firstly, it seeks to contribute to the determination of the benefits resulting from the elimination of the gender pay gap, in terms of income and protection against poverty.
  2. Secondly, it aims to estimate the possible macroeconomic benefits of equal pay in terms of the GDP.
  3. Thirdly, an economic case will be developed. This will shed light on both the economic and social benefits of the elimination of the gender pay gap, including on the qualitative effects over women’s life courses.
  4. Finally, based on a collaborative and participatory methodological approach, recommendations for the policy and institutional national framework will be drawn up.
